The Alabama Crimson Tide has taken off to its College Football Playoff semifinal matchup against Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

No time is wasted here in Tuscaloosa as the Tide is already on its way to Pasadena, California, just one day after Christmas. The team left the Tuscaloosa airport around 10:30 a.m. and will land in Los Angeles around 12:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

The team gathered earlier in the morning for team meetings before boarding its roughly five-hour flight. The Michigan Wolverines are also taking the trip to California today as both teams are looking to get the upper hand in preparing for the game.

Leading up to kickoff, this week will be filled with activities, showings, and media events. Starting tomorrow, both teams will be officially welcomed at Disneyland to kick off the festivities.

Alabama and Michigan will go head to head in the "Grandaddy of Them All" on January 1, with kickoff at 4 p.m. Tune into Tide 100.9 and 95.3 the Bear for full coverage of the game!
