Alabama's defense, considered one of the best defenses in the country on a yearly basis now boasts three members on the Bednarik Award Watch list: Deion Belue, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, and CJ Mosley. The award is presented yearly to the best defensive player in college football.

Belue is expected to take over as the Crimson Tide's top cornerback upon the departure of Dee Milliner. Last season he tied for second on the team with two interceptions, but tops with 7 passes broken up.

Joining Belue in the secondary is Ha Ha Clinton-Dix who enters his second season as a starter at safety. A team leader in interceptions last year, Clinton-Dix was known for his knack to make a big play in the big game, recording interceptions in both the SEC Championship Game and the National Championship.

While Belue and Clinton-Dix will lead the secondary, Mosley is undoubtedly the team leader on defense. After turning down the NFL Draft last winter, Mosley will look to improve on last season's performance that saw over 100 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and 2 interceptions.
