A new look SEC will begin with a familiar start in the preseason polls. The first AP Top 25 was released on Monday and just three conference teams are ranked to start the year.

Kentucky, as expected, leads the way at No. 2, while Vanderbilt is ranked No. 18 and LSU is No. 21. It appears to be a very top-heavy year once again in the SEC as just one other team even received votes (Texas A&M).

North Carolina sits atop the preseason poll after receiving 35 first-place votes.

Take a look at the top 25 teams in The Associated Press' preseason 2015-16 college basketball poll, with first-place votes in parentheses, final 2014-15 records, total points based on 25 points for a first-place vote through one point for a 25th-place vote and last year's final ranking:
