Three Things You Need to Know about Arkansas

The top ranked Alabama Crimson Tide resumes SEC play this weekend with an 11 AM contest against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The Razorbacks have limped out to a 1-4 start under first year head coach Chad Morris including a 24-17 loss to Texas A&M in Arlington, Texas.

In the all-time series, Alabama has a 21-7 series advantage on the field including an 11-0 record against the Razorbacks under Nick Saban.

Struggling Offense

The transition from Brett Beliema to Chad Morris is already off to a rocky start in large part due to their issues on offense.

The Razorbacks come into Saturday at the bottom of the SEC in points per game (23.8 points/game), total yards per game (348.8 yards/game) and rushing yards per game (141.8 yard/game).

Arkansas as a team has thrown for a conference-high 10 interceptions with the duo of Ty Storey and Cole Kelly combining for eight of the 10 interceptions.

In their losses to North Texas, Auburn and Texas A&M, the Razorbacks scored 17 points against North Texas and Texas A&M while managing just a field goal at Auburn.

"De'Jon "Scoota" Harris

One of the few bright spots to have emerged for the Razorbacks this season has been the play of linebacker De'Jon "Scoota Harris.

Harris leads the Southeastern Conference with 53 tackles including an SEC-high 16 stops against Texas A&M last Saturday.

For his career in Fayetteville, the junior linebacker from Harvey, Louisiana, finished second in the conference last season with 155 tackles and led the Razorbacks in tackles, tackles for loss (8.5) and sacks (3.5).

Youthful Razorbacks

Arkansas possesses one of the youngest teams in the SEC and college football with 75 underclassmen on the roster.

Including 44 freshmen, the 75 underclassmen makes up 62 percent of the roster and puts the Razorbacks as the second youngest team in the SEC begin Georgia and one of the 39 youngest squads in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
