With Atlanta already 14.5 games out of first in the NL East before the calendar turns to June, it could be a pretty long summer for Braves fans. The team has already fired its manager and lost 17 of 19 games at home, and there's not much that indicates any sort of turnaround this year.

Thankfully for fans in Tuscaloosa, maintaining an interest in the team this summer got a little bit easier. The Wheelhouse Pub in Temerson Square is running a promotion where patrons can pay the same price as the team's batting average. The special is good for Genesee beer only and it rounds down to the nearest quarter.

The Braves are currently hitting .233, which means you should be able to grab a cold Genesee beer for $2.25 when the special gets started this week. The price will update daily as the team continues through its 2016 schedule, but the offer is available after happy hour ends at 9pm and runs until close.

Whether this promotion will help you cope with the misery of the season remains to be seen. Atlanta finished April with an MLB-worst five wins and hasn't improved much in May. The team holds a 12-31 record and will begin a 10-game homestand tonight against the Brewers.
