A new era of Tuscaloosa County High football begins on August 25 and every game can once again be heard on Tide 102.9 and 100.9.

First-year head coach John Holladay takes over the program after the departure of Bart Sessions, who finished the 2016 season with a 2-8 record. Holladay arrives from Buckhorn, where he spent a year. His past coaching stops also include Walker, Clay-Chalkville, Hamilton and Brilliant.

But the changes aren't just contained to the field. The broadcasts will have a different sound in 2017 as color analyst Greer Williams has left to join Holladay's staff. This year, play-by-play broadcast Mick Gillispie will be joined by Eric Estes, a former quarterback for the Wildcats back in the late 80s who led the team to an undefeated regular season. Estes went on to play college football and baseball at Southern Miss and backed up Brett Favre for a season. Estes also spent three years as a volunteer coach for the Wildcats.
