As the top ranked Alabama Crimson Tide heads to Arkansas for their third Southeastern Conference game of the season, head coach Nick Saban made headlines earlier this week concerning the amount of empty seats and overall atmosphere at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

During Wednesday evening's visit with reporters, Alabama's head football coach expressed his disappointment with the amount of students that attended Saturday's contest against Louisiana and the difference in fan spirit inside the stadium from early in his tenure at Alabama to today.

During Friday's second hour of Inside the Locker Room, producer and guest host James Hardy conducted a round table conversation concerning Saban's Wednesday comments and the overall student support of Alabama football with Tide 102.9 interns and University of Alabama students AJ Spurr, Trey Yanity and William Galloway.

The quartet examined various factors involving the student support of the football program including the team's sustained dominance in college football under Nick Saban, the composition of students from Alabama and outside Alabama, the game day atmosphere in Tuscaloosa including the pregame atmosphere on The Quad and solutions for improving the atmosphere inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

At the end of the conversation, Spurr, Yanity and Galloway listed their reasons regarding how Alabama football is special to them as fans and students at the University of Alabama.

You can hear live play-by-play coverage of Alabama vs. Arkansas tomorrow on Tide 102.9/100.9 and the Tide 102.9 app with kickoff at 11 AM.
