The Alabama defense continues to rank at or near the top of every major statistical category in the SEC despite battling injuries through the first half of the season.

A big part of the recent success for this unit has been the emergence of the pass rush. After recording just five sacks through the first four games, Alabama has picked up nine in its past two games against Ole Miss and Texas A&M. A total of 12 Crimson Tide defenders have at least 0.5 sacks on the year, which shows how much of a team effort it has been in 2017.

Alabama defensive lineman Da'Ron Payne has been one of the mainstays along that defensive front, and he met with the media this week to talk about the team's performance an the focus heading into the Arkansas game this weekend. Check out what he had to say in the video above.
