Alabama senior Isaiah Buggs enters his second season in the program but he'll be looked upon to be a leader for the Crimson Tide in 2018.

The defensive lineman visited with the media on the first day of game week to talk about a tough opening matchup with the Louisville Cardinals.

"We're know going into it it's going to be a tough game. They explosive up front. Offensively very explosive. Quarterback very explosive. But like I said, we've got to control what we can control. This is about Alabama. If we go in and play our football game, we'll be fine."

The Alabama defense won't have any time to break in a number of new starters on defense because Louisville brings in a strong passing attack led by quarterback Jawon Pass.

"We definitely have to get the quarterback. We gotta affect him in all ways possible. We've got to get to him and slow him up before he can start."

We'll find out how ready the defense is when the Camping World Kickoff game gets underway at 7 p.m. on Saturday night.
