Alabama fans got a glimpse into the future during a recent jamboree game played just outside of Birmingham.

The Thompson Warriors hosted Clay-Chalkville last week and the Crimson Tide had three 2019 commitments playing in the game. For Thompson, quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa and offensive lineman Amari Kight were taking part. On the other side of the ball, defensive lineman DJ Dale was part of the unit trying to slow down that Warriors offense.

Scott Griffin, host of Smashmouth Radio, went out to watch the game and evaluated the future Alabama teammates. Here's what he had to say about Dale:

Here is Alabama defensive tackle commit, DJ Dale out of Clay Chalkville (outside of Birmingham). At first look, Dale appears to be a clone of former Bama nose guard Da'Ron Payne (now with the Washington Redskins).  He is 6'3 and over 300 pounds.  He may not be as athletic as Payne was at this stage, but is certainly mobile for a prospect his size.  Dale is #5 on the defensive line in this video. He is a consensus four-star recruit by most services.

Check out the video at the top of the page to see highlights of Dale's performance in the game.
