When the Alabama football team participates in its first fall scrimmage on Saturday, we'll get a little more insight into how the running backs are progressing.

The assumption is that Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris are the favorites to earn the majority of the carries in 2016, but true freshman B.J. Emmons looks the part after the first week of fall camp.

Nick Saban said during a recent press conference that he's coached a number of running backs that have been productive during their first season on campus. With very little game experience at the position, it'll be interesting to see how big of a role the first-year players have in the offense.

You can watch the entire group of ball carriers go through drills during day 9 of fall camp. The team will head inside Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday for the first scrimmage of August.
