AUBURN – He saw all the action right from the sideline.

Following Alabama’s 29-13 win over Auburn on Saturday, Crimson Tide Sports Network sideline reporter and Tide 99.1 radio host Chris Stewart broke down the result from inside Jordan-Hare Stadium, where the game was held.

Stewart, like most who witnessed the game, was particularly in awe of junior running back Derrick Henry, who rushed for a career-high 271 yards and a touchdown on a school-record 46 carries in the win.

Stewart, who also serves as the play-by-play announcer for Alabama men’s basketball games, arrived in Auburn on Saturday after flying to Atlanta from Orlando Friday night, following the basketball team’s 64-60 upset victory over No. 20 Wichita State. He will fly back to Orlando Sunday morning in time to call the Crimson Tide’s game against Notre Dame.

For the Alabama football team, ranked No. 2 in the College Football Playoff, Saturday’s Iron Bowl win secured its third SEC West title in four years. The Crimson Tide (11-1, 7-1 SEC) will play SEC East champion Florida in next Saturday’s SEC Championship Game in Atlanta. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT.
