ATLANTA – Ryan Fowler always tells it like he sees it.

After Alabama’s 25th SEC championship win, a 29-15 victory over Florida in the Georgia Dome, Fowler, host of Tide 99.1’s “The Game,” summarized the Crimson Tide’s performance and, once again, Derrick Henry was at the forefront of his review.

Henry, as he’s been throughout the season, was key to Alabama’s success in the game, particularly considering Florida’s defense ranks among the nation’s best. After a slow start, Henry finished with 189 yards and one touchdown on 44 rushing attempts, breaking Herschel Walker’s single-season SEC rushing record in the progress.

With the win, Alabama (12-1) likely secured a berth in the College Football Playoff for the second straight season – the only expected repeat participant in the four-team playoff following its inaugural showing in 2014. Saturday’s win also marked the second straight SEC title for the Crimson Tide after beating Missouri 42-13 last season.
