There's plenty of attention being paid to the Alabama quarterback position this fall, but the future of the position is also very bright.

The Crimson Tide received a verbal commitment from Taulia Tagovailoa on A-Day last month, and fans are already excited to see what he'll bring to the program in 2019. Tagovailoa, the brother of Bama QB Tua, will be a senior for the Warriors in the fall. He was recently invited to participate in the prestigious Elite 11 competition (one of three Birmingham area quarterbacks invited, one of which is Paul Tyson who is also a Bama commit). He led Thompson to an undefeated regular season record before losing to Hoover in the semifinals of the state playoffs.

Now the team is carrying high expectations into this fall behind the senior and Scott Griffin of Smashmouth Radio had a chance to visit Thompson's practice and watch Tagovailoa work with his offense.

Here are some thoughts on seeing the quarterback in person:

Tagovailoa has put on 10-15 lbs of muscle and improved his athleticism in the off season program at Thompson High School. Most of that productive weight has gone into his thighs and hips as you can see.
