The 2017 Alabama signing class was wrapped up on Wednesday and Nick Saban's staff once again claimed the top overall class in college football.

One of the top players to sign with the Crimson Tide came from more than 4,000 miles away and has already made Tuscaloosa his home. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is rated a five-star by the recruiting services and is considered the top dual-threat quarterback in the country this year.

He's already enrolled on campus and will compete for the starting job when spring practice begins next month.

Tagovailoa had his first opportunity to meet with reporters on National Signing Day, and it will be the only time he does so during his freshman season per Alabama's policy. Listen to him discuss the transition to the South, how workouts have been going, and his decision to play for Alabama.
