The regular season in Alabama high school football is beginning the final homestretch, and playoff scenarios are starting to play themselves out. Check out the action around West Alabama, and which games determine who's in and who's out.

Tuscaloosa County High hosts the Thompson Warriors Friday night at 7 PM. The Wildcats are looking for a bounce back victory after dropping four straight to put them at 4-4 on the season and 3-3 in 7A Region 3 action. Should Thompson get the win, that would give the Warriors their first W of the year, and move them to 1-7 (1-5). Thompson has been eliminated from playoff contention, but County High can still mathematically make it, should they defeat Thompson and Vestavia Hills next week.

One of the biggest games in the state takes place in 1A Region 4 as the region leading, undefeated, #2 ranked Maplesville Red Devils play host to A.L. Johnson, the second place team in the region and ranked #11 in the state. These teams will do battle also at 7 PM on Friday.
