With both the Chick-fil-a Kickoff games and the NFL season quickly approaching, the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium is about to get very busy. But Atlanta isn't just getting a new stadium, they're also getting something that the Georgia Dome never had. A gigantic Falcon statue outside the stadium!

Just look at it! The photo doesn't do it any justice. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Falcon weighs over 73,000 pounds and is 41.5 feet tall! To put how to tall that is: I'm about 6 feet tall, so it would take about 7 of me standing on our shoulders to touch the top of it!

The wingspan is over 64 feet too, so it would take 11 of me lying flat on the floor to match the wingspan as well! As a Falcon fan, I can't wait to actually see it in person.

But this next quirk might be the silliest of all. Inside Mercedes-Benz is a Chick-fil-A stand. Now normally this doesn't seem unnatural. Until multiple news sources reported that even though the Falcons play on Sunday, the Chick-fil-A stand will remain closed! Chick-fil-A has a tradition of being closed on Sundays, and they intend to follow it. The only time Falcons fans will get a chance to nab any Chick-fil-A food will be a Thursday night game in December against the Saints. That's a long time to wait for a sandwich!

Luckily for Alabama fans, The stand will be open for the opening game against Florida State!
