For months now, those wanting to travel onto Hargrove Road from Skyland Blvd. have had to choose and alternate route due to road construction.

In recent weeks, anyone passing by can now see a steel frame standing on the 5.53 acre lot of red dirt. The frame will soon be the new location of Tuscaloosa Hyundai.

An article by Jason Morton at TuscaloosaNews.com stated that, along with the donation of land for Tuscaloosa Hyundai, Chandler-Jones LLC also donated a portion of a 17.79-acre tract at the intersection in order to connect the northern side of Hargrove Road East with its south side in a more traditional intersection alignment.

Tuscaloosa Hyundai broke ground on the new property on January 6th, 2016. According to posts on their social media accounts, the new state of the art facility will be the first new Hyundai image store built in the United States.
