Coming off the program’s 16th national championship, the Alabama Crimson Tide is basking off the fruits off an historic national title run and looking forward to a possibly big day on signing day.

One of the biggest reasons for Nick Saban approaching the pedestal of Paul “Bear” Bryant’s legacy has been top-notch recruiting. According to Rivals.com, Alabama has hauled in top five recruiting classes every year since 2008 including six top recruiting classes.

From the precedent setting class of 2008 to today, Saban has been able to consistently attract top 100 recruits while following through with wins on the field. Since 2008, 68 recruits ranked by Rivals as a top 100 prospect nationally signed with Alabama. The list includes Julio Jones, Mark Barron, Dre Kirkpatrick, Derrick Henry and Calvin Ridley.

In addition to blue chip talent, Saban has succeeded in developing lesser known prospects on the recruiting trail including Terrence Cody, Marcel Dareus, Ryan Kelly, Vinnie Sunseri and Eddie Jackson.

That leads us to our poll question.
