The No. 8-ranked Alabama men's golf team carded a 6-under par 282 on Monday, the lowest score of the day, and is one stroke back of clubhouse leader Georgia heading into the final round of the Linger Longer Invitational. As a team, the Crimson Tide is in second place after 36 holes with a team total of 17-under par 559 (277-282).

Alabama is being led by a trio of golfers who are ranked among the top-10 individuals, including seniors Lee Hodges and Jonathan Hardee, along with junior Davis Riley.

Hodges leads the way in second overall at 9-under par 135 after carding rounds of 67 and 68 on Sunday and Monday, respectively. The Ardmore, Tenn., native, who has now recorded sub-70 scores in five of his eight rounds this spring, ranks third in the field with 11 birdies and a 3.85 average on par 4 holes. He will enter the third round three strokes back of Georgia’s Davis Thompson (12-under 132).

Hardee collected his second consecutive round of 70 on Monday and is in a tie for seventh overall with a 4-under par 140 (70-70), on the par-72, 7,073-yard Great Waters Golf Club course. Meanwhile, Riley is in a tie for ninth at 3-under par 141 (69-72) after his even par round on Monday. The nation’s sixth-ranked golfer has shot par or better in seven of his eight round played this spring and 16 of 20 total rounds played on the year.

Freshmen Wilson Furr (73-72/145) and Davis Shore (71-75/146) are tied for 30th and 39th, respectively, to round out the Crimson Tide golfers.

Sophomore Josh Sedeno, playing as an individual, is in a tie for 56th overall with a 5-over par 149 (72-77).

Alabama trails clubhouse leader Georgia (558) by one stroke entering the final 18 holes. Penn State (567) is in third, eight strokes back of the Tide, while Ohio State (570) and Virginia (573) round out the top five.

Alabama will attempt to win for the fourth time in seven tournaments played this season, and for the first time this spring, when it tees off the final round on Tuesday morning. The Crimson Tide will be paired alongside Georgia and Penn State, and will tee off at 9:10 a.m. CT (10:10 a.m. ET) off Hole No. 1. Live stats throughout the final round can be found on Golfstat.com.
