The commitment comes less than one week after the state's top-ranked player, point guard Justin Coleman, announced his intentions. The 6'7", 180 pound Norris gives Alabama a clean sweep of the top two players in the state according to 247Sports.

Norris' shooting range extends all the way out to the perimeter but he can also get to the hoop to create scoring opportunities. As a sophomore at Albertville, he averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds which increased to 23 points and 12 rebounds as a junior in 2012-13. He chose the Crimson Tide over offers from over 20 teams, including Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, Butler, Marquette.
