Kalen DeBoer had some concerns along his offensive line heading into spring practice. Alabama lost three starters from last year's offensive line. JC Latham went to the NFL, Seth McLaughlin transferred to Ohio State, and Kadyn Proctor transferred to Iowa.

Or at least, we thought.

According to reports, Kadyn Proctor is expected to return to the University of Alabama and play football for the Crimson Tide once again. Proctor started every game at left tackle for Alabama last season, the first freshman to do so since 2014, amid a positional battle with Elijah Pritchett.

The six-foot-seven, 360-pound tackle was the No. 2 overall recruit in the transfer portal, and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the portal. As a prospect from high school, Proctor was a five-star and the No. 5 prospect in the country in the 2023 recruiting class.

Proctor returns to Alabama and is expected to compete for a starting job along Alabama's offensive line. He's expected to play at a lower weight as well. Offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic has a new anchor along his offensive line.

Alabama's offensive line gave up 49 sacks last season, and part of that was attributed to Proctor and his youth. With a season of experience under his belt now, he's got a chance to take the next step in his development as a starter for Alabama.

He was named to the Freshman All-SEC Team following Alabama's SEC Championship win over the Georgia Bulldogs.
