As Wyatt Fulton reported earlier, Ryan Williams is officially in the house for Kalen DeBoer.

While that Wednesday signing certainly made a statement, Williams is not alone in signing with the Crimson Tide on day one of the late signing period.

Signing with Alabama on Wednesday

The Tide signed three prospects Wednesday. All three signed before lunch between 9 and 11 a.m. CT. Williams you know about. Here are the other two:

LB Quinton Reese, 6-0, 205, Birmingham, AL

OLB Noah Carter, 6-4, 220, Peoria, AZ

Tider Insider's Rodney Orr had the following to say on the two Wednesday defensive signees:

"As we've previously noted, Reese is a bit undersized at 6-0, 205, but he's a playmaker -- a tackling machine. Has natural instincts for the game. Very intelligent/great kid. Son of former Auburn standout Quinton Reese.

"A shout out to DeBoer and staff for landing four-star outside linebacker Noah Carter just 16 days after DeBoer became the Alabama coach. The 6-4, 220-pound Carter jumps off the tape with his incredible speed and athleticism. As TI has said, we consider Carter a five-star athlete."

Strong words from a man who's followed Alabama recruiting for 50 years. As Orr pointed out, Reese is undersized for an SEC linebacker but could certainly find an early role on special teams as a tenacious tackler and later on land in a hybrid role on Kane Wommack's 4-2-5 defense.

Perhaps Carter said it best: "Roll Tide, for sure! It's official."
