The home of the Alabama Golf team will re-open to the public on a limited bases starting on Wednesday. The course will be open to patrons, weather permitting, from Wednesday-Sunday for the foreseeable future. The golf course closed on March 28 due to concerns over the COVID-19 coronavirus.

NCAA To Grant Extra Year
The NCAA voted today to allow all-spring sport athletes an additional year of eligibility after their seasons were cut short due to the COVID-19 coronavirus. Alabama softball, baseball, track and field, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis and the Alabama women's crew teams will all be granted an extra year of eligibility.

The Regions Tradition Golf Tournament will be delayed till the fall amid COVID-19 Coronavirus concerns. Originally scheduled for May 6-10 the Birmingham tournament will look for a date later in the season to play its event. The Regions Tradition Golf Tournament has been a part of the PGA Champions Tour since 1989.

Due to the cancellations of the spring season amid the dangers of the COVID-19 coronavirus the NCAA has decided to grant an extra year of eligibility to seniors. According to Jeff Goodman the NCAA's Council Coordination Committee has agreed to grant relief to the spring sport athletes, the committee is still in discussions about the winter sports.

Justin Thomas Claims Victory at the Sentry Tournament of Champion
Former Alabama golfer Justin Thomas was victorious this past weekend in the Sentry Tournament of Champions at the Kapalua Plantation Course in Lahaina, Hawaii. Thomas won the tournament after being forced into a playoff with Patrick Reed and Xander Schauffele. Thomas made bogey on the 18th hole to allow Schauffele and Reed back into the tournament in a playoff.
