Former Alabama Tight End Elevated by Browns In Time for TNF

Former Alabama Crimson Tide tight end Miller Forristall has had an up and down career in the NFL since leaving Tuscaloosa. Today marks one of the ups for him.

Just in time for their Thursday Night Football divisional bout with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cleveland Browns have elevated Forristall from the practice squad to their active roster.

Cleveland is technically only Forristall's second stop in the NFL, but he has been waived, resigned to the practice squad, elevated, and waived again multiple times in the last year of being associated with the franchise. When he entered the league as an un-drafted free agent, he initially signed with the Tennessee Titans, but the team waived him less than a week before the start of the regular season.

So far, Forristall has only participated in two NFL games and is yet to log his first reception, something that could change tonight.

During his time in Tuscaloosa, Forristall was a member of two national championship teams, 2017 and 2020. He was the receiver that caught Tua Tagovailoa's record breaking sixth touchdown against Ole Miss in 2019.

He totaled 44 catches for 505 yards and five touchdowns while catching passes from all three Alabama quarterbacks currently playing I the NFL - Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, and Mac Jones.
