Former Tide Linebacker Denzel Devall Discusses 2015 Season, Team Chemistry
The Alabama football team was able to overcome an early loss to the Ole Miss Rebels this past season en route to their sixteenth national championship, and one key component of the 2015 squad, Denzel Devall, joined Ryan Fowler to discuss how this team gelled together throughout the 2015 campaign.
Devall's senior season was filled with doubt after that tough loss to the Rebels, from national pundits saying the dynasty was dead and even Nick Saban has said that he wasn't sure this team could have won the national championship. However, the team built some tremendous chemistry with each other, and Devall discussed this at large, speaking with Fowler.
"It was truly a family, truly a brotherhood. We'd fuss and fight just like brothers, then we'd kiss and make up. It was truly a bond among the team. If someone was down, everybody was there to pick them up. There was no selfish player on the team, it was a team of brothers."
Saban has said on a few occasions that this team was one of the most special teams he's ever coached, mainly because of the chemistry and camaraderie that led the team to 12 straight wins and the Saban's fourth national championship while at The Capstone.
