Georgia freshmen Julian Rochester and Chad Clay are in the Athens-Clarke County jail following their arrests Monday night on felony charges including the possession of a BB gun in a school zone.

Rochester, a defensive lineman, and Clay, a defensive back, were charged with having a weapon in a school zone and second degree criminal damage. The two were arrested by University of Georgia police.

Georgia released a statement early Tuesday which said the second charge is related to property damage. No other details were immediately available.

Coach Kirby Smart said in the statement he's "disappointed with the poor judgment" of the two, who were among early enrollees for spring practice. Georgia says the two "will be disciplined in an appropriate manner."
