Southeastern Conference Commissioner Mike Slive joined Ryan Fowler on "The Game," and he gave us a rundown of the SEC and how it's going to look in the near future.

Commissioner Slive was asked about his thought on paying players, and even about the idea of a stipend for student athletes, and he firmly stated that it would never happen.

"We just need the ability to focus on the full cost of attendance. Althought everything we do is going to be tied to education, this is not about paying student athletes, it's not about employees, it's about how do we provide our student athletes with the education and athletic experience that tie together."

Slive also addressed the idea that the SEC could potentially be left out in the College Football Playoff.

"The agreement is that it will be the four best teams, without conditions... We fought hard to make sure the only criteria is 'the best.'"
