Nick Saban Turning Five-Star Recruits into First Round Picks in the NFL Draft
Since Nick Saban has joined the Crimson Tide he has not only dominated the college ranks on the recruiting trail, but also the NFL Draft with 12 more players being selected this year, most by any program in the draft era.
The 2019 class currently ranks number one in the country with 11 four-stars who could move up to five-star after their senior season, and current five-star offensive lineman out of Hewitt-Trussvile Pierce Quick.
According to 247Sports, Saban has signed 29 five-star players in his tenure at Alabama with fourteen of those players going in the first round of the NFL Draft, most of any other team in college football.
Barton Simmons, recruiting expert of CBS Sports and 247Sports, joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to discuss the number of five-star players Coach Saban sends to the first-round of the NFL Draft, new coaches using social media to lure in recruits, and Alabama having the number one recruiting class for 2019 and which prospect should we keep out eyes on.
