Former Alabama and current Detroit Tigers pitcher Spencer Turnbull is set to make his season debut tonight after battling COVID-19. Turnbull has been away from the Tigers, battling COVID-19 since March 19 and unfortunately the fourth-year pitcher lost 10 pounds of muscle during quarantine.
Ahead of the opening day of Minor League Baseball’s season in May, the Rocket City Trash Pandas have announced that they will be having a “100 percent capacity” at Toyota Field, as reported by several local news outlets.
In the opening weekend of the 2021 MLB season, the Atlanta Braves got swept in three games by the Philadelphia Phillies (3-0). Atlanta’s record drops to 0-3, and the team now sits three games back at 5th place in the NL East.
