‘The Suttles Approach’ Named Best Sports Show by Alabama Broadcasters Association

The Alabama Broadcasters Association held its annual 'Best in Broadcasting' dinner on Saturday night and Tide 102.9 claimed an ABBY award for the second-consecutive year. 

The Suttles Approach, hosted by Tuscaloosa News writer Aaron Suttles, was named the best Medium Market Sports Show/Sports Talk Show in the state of Alabama. The Alabama beat writer made his radio debut last June when the station expanded to 14 hours of live and local programming. The Suttles Approach airs daily from 12-2PM and can be heard live on the radioPup app. 

Tide 102.9 has now won the ABBY award for best sports show in back-to-back years. Ryan Fowler, host of The Game, won the award along with best sportscaster in 2016.

The Home of Alabama Sports continues to deliver 12 hours of live and local programming dedicated primarily to the Crimson Tide every weekday. The station also carries every Alabama football and baseball broadcast.
