The Crimson Tide began fall camp down three players on defense due to suspensions.  Today, head coach Nick Saban announced that two of those players have returned to the team.  Defensive linemen Brandon Ivory and Jarran Reed were back at practice today after missing the first six days of camp.  Jarran Reed was arrested for a DUI a few weeks bafore camp started.  It is unknown what infraction Brandon Ivory committed, but Saban announced it as a violation of team rules. In any case, both players had completed whatever was asked of them by the coaching staff.

Both Ivory and Reed are expected to contribute heavily on the line this year.  Ivory, a senior, played extensively last season.  Reed was a highly touted junior college transfer who was offered by several SEC schools.  Both played very well during A-Day last April.

Linebacker Tim Williams was the third player suspended at the opening of camp.  As of now, there is no change in that status.

In other camp news, defensive lineman A'Shawn Robinson is still being held out of practice with a knee sprain.  Linebacker Trey Depriest has practiced in full pads, but will likely be held out of Saturday's scrimmage as he continues to rehab a minor knee injury.  Cornerback Eddie Jackson, who suffered an ACL tear in the spring, has also been practicing in full pads.
