Germany are the popular choice for winning World Cup 2014, and there's no surprise why: they are arguably the most talented international squad in the world. Led by some of the best players in the world, Germany will be disappointed with any finish that doesn't end hoisting the World Cup trophy.

They are currently ranked #2 in FIFA's World Rankings behind Spain, but not many people would be upset if those rankings were flipped. If you were to look anywhere on this roster, you'll find top tier talent. Germany are led by phenomenal striker Miroslav Klose, who has competed in over 130 international matches. Klose is the emotional leader, but he also leads by example. Possessing a cannon for a leg and near flawless field awareness, the S.S. Lazio star can single-handedly take over a match and put excessive pressure on most defenses.

The ones in the midfield getting Klose the ball, however, may be the best group of international midfielders one can find. Bastian Schweinsteiger is Germany's go-to guy. His skill is unprecedented except to a select few on the planet. Schweinsteiger is able to control the midfield and dictate the pace of almost any match, all while seeming to do it effortlessly. Another big piece in the midfield is Lukas Podolski, who may have the strongest leg in the world. When he joins the attack, defenders can not afford to give him any room, or they will pay with an absolute laser in the back of the net.

Other notable players on the roster are Toni Kroos, 25 year old phenom Mesut Ozil, Phillipp Lahm, and one of the best goalkeepers in the world Manuel Neuer. No matter what position you're looking at or what roster spot you may be reading, you're probably looking at one of the best in the world at their respective positions.

My prediction: Germany should shred through Group G, but we Americans better hope they don't. The Germans face off against the USA, Ghana, and Portugal, and those three teams are basically playing for 2nd place. Germany finish 1st in Group G, and convince most of the world that they are the best team on Earth.
