With the month of March coming to a close, NFL Draft prospects across the country are setting their sights on the 2016 NFL Draft.

NFL Draft analyst for drafttek.com Kennedy Paynter provided his thoughts on how well Alabama’s NFL prospects could do during draft weekend.

Paynter believes that draft weekend could be a big one for the Crimson Tide and that a certain Alabama prospect is one of the most underrated players in the draft.

“I count 10 guys that might get drafted all total, and I think Cyrus Jones is one of the most underrated players out there.” Paynter said.

The NFL Draft analyst believes that despite size limiting the talk on Cyrus Jones, there is plenty of NFL potential for the former Alabama defensive back.

“He’s only 5-9 so he’s not going to play outside, but he can play in the slot like a Brandon Boykin type. He also returns punts. Nobody is really talking about him. He’s a very solid defender, and I think he’ll be a starter in the slot pretty much from the get go.”

Paynter also stated that up to four Alabama prospects could get selected in the first round.
