Wichita State's basketball season came to an end on Sunday when the team suffered its only loss of the year to Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament, but Shockers fans had plenty to be excited about this year.

Minnesota Twins' pitcher Mike Pelfrey, a former Wichita State pitcher, is a big supporter of the basketball program and even owns season tickets. Manager Ron Gardenhire and the MLB Fan Cave took advantage of that passion by making him think he was asked to fire up the basketball team with a pep talk.

The locker room prank turned out to be equal parts awkward and hilarious.
