Via social media, Northridge high school basketball star Jonas Wilkin has announced his commitment to a PWO offer from the Crimson Tide.

"I am extremely blessed to announce that I will be accepting a PWO offer to play basketball at the University of Alabama,"  Wilkin wrote on Instagram "First and foremost I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, without him none of this would be possible. Next I would like to thank my mom and dad for everything they have done for me [...] I would also like to thank my brother Anderson for the countless hours we have spent in the gym and always making me a better player. I would like to thank the rest of my family and my friends that have helped me reach my goals along this journey"

Wilkin helped lead the Jaguars to a 27-7 record, earning the 'Ridge a 6A AHSAA state tournament birth.

The guard was also apart of Inside the Locker Room host Barry Sanderson's first Northridge Jaguars' squad.

Wilkin will be a part of the Aabama 2024 recruiting class, joini Derrion Reid, Aiden Sherrel, and Naas Cunningham.

The 6-2 senior also joins two more NHS athletes as preferred walk-ons at Alabama in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Joining Anderson Green and Tucker Cornelius, both of whom signed for Alabama football earlier this month..
